A number of different things can cause a computer to run slow but if it gets very slow I find the easiest way out is to save any important files on to disc, wipe the system (format the C drive) and re-install windows. You then have a nice crisp, clean computer running perfectly.

If I were to fix your computer for you, I would do the following:
1. Since I don't know you or how you use your computer, I would first backup all of your files that I find to be important.
2. Second, I would format your harddrive.
3. I would reinstall the Operating System.
4. I would add your important files back to your computer's harddrive and then reinstall all of the software that you previously had installed.
I have formatted and reinstalled OSes on so many peoples computers that I am a pro at it. It's the easiest solution for me when working on people's computers that I don't know... They could be very careless online for all I know and install adware thinking it was something else. You really have to be careful.

Computer Slow
Download and then run startup.exe (FREEWARE) at:
http://www.mlin.net/startupcpl.shtml......
Can't live without it and windows...
Then disable and/or uninstall whatever u don't need.
Other things to try:
1 - Disk Cleanup (removal of temp files, cookies, etc.)
2 - Defrag
3 - Registry Cleanup (CAN BE VERY RISKY!)
ALL ELSE FAILS - RELOAD YOUR O/S (WINDOWS) AND THEN REINSTALL ALL OTHER PROGRAMS YOU NEED/USE!
