To sum it up quickly, here is a telephone conversation
OUT OF NO WHERE, his voice was so sincere but I expected him to say he was joking or something
Him: I'm gay
Me: I knew that already
(silence)
Him: Ok
Me:Alright
Him: So what are we doing tomorrow?
I said I knew because really, he "plays" gay with guys a little too much and I have been suspecting that. I just do not know if he was playing or not, he didn't say it like he was joking. I asked him about it today and he laughed and talked about something else ??
- he touches guys butt when he is not doing sports and laughs it off when his friends get paranoid about it
-he says dirty things to some guys and passes it off as playing, but sometimes they go too overboard
- he licked on his best friend once, I don't think he thought I saw it, but he laughed it off like he was playing
There's a lot of things he did when he was "playing".

He's not only gay, but immature and afraid. "What are we doing tomorrow" was just a way to get off an uncomfortable subject that you seemed not to want to talk about. Confront him, and don't change the subject until you get a definite answer! (And don't yell or scare him off either, because that won't do either of you any good.)

i think you need to have a heart to heart with him...seriously sit down and talk about this....if he truly is gay nothing wrong with it, but it isnt fair to you, and not fair to him if he continues to not be and that he is just playing around...i think he is living in denial, and since you 2 are such good friends..maybe you can help him through his time of need...trust me it isnt easy to come out of the closet..i denied my feelings for a long long time..and i would joke about it with my friends just to see what reactions i would get...and that way i knew which ones, when i was ready to tell, who i could trust to tell, and who would be understanding and help me with this difficult situation. i think him joking his way of testing the waters with you.

Action speaks louder than words, so I think he's gay. The real question is, why did he suddenly 'come out' to you? I think you should talk to him about it, because that sort of conversation just doesn't come out of nowhere.

May be he is gay. You are right to suspect him but I think you need to convince yourself whether he is or he is not. Test him in some way...
