It depends on whether you are talking about erotica or pornography. There is nothing wrong with the human body - people should celebrate it. If its a celebration of the female body in an empowering, positive and tasteful way, the answer is definitely!

I have been a photographer for forty years, I have no problem with nudes.
The human body is very varied and beautiful.
Most of the nudes I have shot has been at the request of the client, special photgraphs for their partners.
I never include shots of the genital areas as this is not what I call art. it is more medical.
I never pay for a model, so now you know the girls request is to pose nude.

im a man and ive posed nude for a photo shoot - they weren't porn they were art....the person wanting them was a straight married male and it came about because of a discussion we had about life styles, the photos were taken over a 24 hour period and just followed my day took lot's of shots ok most weren't nude i wore clothes most of the day but in the evening when i took my clothes off to shower i didnt say stop taking photos now because that would of defeated the object of "a day in the life", unfortunatly i havent got them any more both the hard drive and the back up cd i had them on are broke
and i m no longer in contact with the photographer to do another set - im not a glamour model and these werent glamour shots the fact i didnt have clothes on in some of them is just daily life -porn isnt about nakedness its about desire, some of the best horniest photos ive seen the woman hasnt been naked it's other bits of the imagery make it porn

posing nude can be so very very different and far apart from each other that i dont think you can say this easily. i think human body is very beautiful, especially womens, and do not object to art galleries with paintings of womens naked bodies, sitting on a chair or eating an apple etc. however i do object to pornographic magazines, where the woman has her *** up in the air with a thong in her **** and high heel shoes on, and a 'come **** me' look. generally with side captions such as 'dirty sluts suck and **** ****' etc etc. this is disgusting, and degrading to women and men - nor is it the women in their natural state - they are airbrushed, makeuped etc. so......i think its very hard to decide. i would not pose nude for anything other than my lover/husband..or maybe for a best friends art project.

Posing nude is art and I would do it if paid the same amount of money as a supermodel.

Not a chance would I do it.. check out info on Female Guerillas - interesting read about how female artists are restricted from showing their art in most of the major galleries in the world.
It is just another expression of male art in a male dominated world.. hence why there is no page 4 showing lots of pictures of mens bits in tabloid newspapers..
If it was ART it would reflect EQUALLY the forms of male/female - mostly that is not the case.. it is females predominantly that are put on display..
Quel surprise!

Yes,I have posed nude.It certainly is art. The female Body is one of the most beautiful and mysterious things in life.
No two are alike and they come in every color, shape and size. How wonderful you must be to see such exquisite beauty.
Any one whom says it's disrespectful or degrading is closed minded and doesn't see through truly open eyes.

well back in the day is was an art,men and women did it, personally i see nothing wrong with it,once its NOT for pornography uses, I'll like to get a painting done of myself but i'll have to be posing backing the artist-1 to hide my virtue 2 i think those kind of portraits have such a beauty about them.

There was a girl in photography class in my college who whored herself out for some nude shots. The sad thing is that she got a good mark for her uninspired slutty garbage.
The even worse part is that the school put them on display in the main hallway where little kids pass with their mommies on the way to the school daycare.

it depends who is drawing. I believe naked people (women and men) are art, but I wouldn't pose myself because I have a little self confidence in my body. But I do believe every human should wear clothes for warmth and protection, NOT to cover 'rude' bits as designated by society
