If you mean life in general, probably not. Seems that so many times when I go out of my way to help someone, it bites me in the a**. But there are a lot of unsolved crimes in this country. Check this out. A man was in his car, waiting for the light to change to green. He was several vehicles from the light. While waiting, a 15 year old kid came running through a residential yard, carrying a pair of blue jeans he had stolen from a local store. The kid ran smack into this guy's car, smashed a window, cut himself and put a big dent in the door with his knee, and breaking his leg. The guy got out of his car to help the kid and three people started pounding on the driver. The kid was taken away in an ambulance, while witnesses told police the driver did nothing wrong. Bottom line: driver sustained broken arm, damaged vehicle and the kid's parents are suing him for their son's injuries. What a crock. This happened in my hometown in Michigan last week.

I think there is definitely karma. But I think karma works according to its own time which is beyond human time. So yes, everyone gets back what they give out, but it's not something we can necessarily judge from the outside.

No, it's not that cut and dry, someone may be a tremendous giver, but have little appeal as a person so get little in return, someone may be very charismatic and get away with taking alot, though I would say in the long run, karma, happiness, etc yes, you reap what you sew.

There are some circumstances that I hope that I don't get back what I have given out. Like when I vomit, for instance. I sure as hell don't want that back. Disgusting.

Ah yes... The age old get what ya give... Asians call it karma, I beleive. The ol' yin yang. Saxon-Christian folks quote, "You reap what you sow"
Those who we "give" to may not be the ones who give to us. Right?
Some give, not ever seeking to be given to. To give what they have, not expecting repayment. Both good and bad gifts, huh?
Many of us give our time, effort, money etc.
