The new 007 film is called "Casino Royale", in which director Martin Campbell (Goldeneye, The Mask of Zorro) returns to direct his second Bond film. Daniel Craig (Munich, Layer Cake, The Road to Perdition) is the new James Bond, replacing Pierce Brosnan and Eva Green (the Dreamers) is the new Bond Girl, Vesper Lynd. Based on the novel by 007 creator Ian Fleming, this is the story of James Bond rise to the top of the MI6 agency (his first mission as 007) as he infiltrates a high stakes casino housing a banker that funds a who's who of terrorist organizations.
As you can see, this is a prequel to "Dr. No" and other Bond films after that. Oscar winner Judi Dench returns as M and Oscar nominee Jeffrey Wright (Lady in the Water, Syriana) joins the cast as CIA Agent Felix Leiter.
The movie opens on Novermber 17, 2006 (Friday).
