It could be cool but you would have to have unknowns play the roles
If you put say George Clooney as Hannibel(which would probably happen) nobody would buy into it they would just see George doing Hannibal.
But thats not the real problem finding another MR.T is,you can't it's impossible

I think a film would be cool if they did it properly, trying to maintain the seriousness of the series unlike the 'Starsky and Hutch' film, which was just a big joke from the onset.

If they were i think it would be the coolest movie yet,
they should try to get the original actors still alive to play their roles and it has to have Mr T of course.

I would hope it was cheesy. The original series was, and that was its charm. I don't know about the other characters, but I'd get George Clooney to play Hannibal and Jim Carrey to play Face.

If history is any indication, it would very likely be cheesy. just like The Dukes of Hazzard, The Honeymooners, McHale's Navy, and others.
