In my opinion the best producer of records would have to be Robert "Mutt" Lange. I don't have 3 reasons but the reason I choose him over someone like Bob Rock is that he is able to change his style with each artist, assist in the songwriting process oh wait a minute i think Rick Rubin is the best yeah im changing my mind Rick Rubin is better than Mutt

Mutt Lange is definately good (from City Boy to the Cars) also John Leckie, Daniel Lanois, Steve Albini, Roy Thomas Baker. It tends depend on the style of the artist.

phill spector his music is legendry and hes worked with a lot of the top artists,and no one can beat the wall of sound he created.
