Then explain how one could seriously commit to being a Republican? The GOP leaders that are in office right now only care to save face, only care about the rich getting tax cuts, and do not care about the working class citizen (let alone the poor). Trickle down economics don't work if the top hordes the cash to themselves...

I say 'cut taxes more', and drop even more government spending. And, shut the border. The short answer to your question is that our political parties seem to have been 'jacked by oil companies, foreign countries, and god knows what/who else.
I say let the rich be rich. Money makes them VERY happy. When they're not happy, they're out stealing from someone else, so let em be. I think if we had a 10% flat income tax, no exemptions, no loopholes, we'd have something. 1 dollar for govt/govt services, 9 dollars for you. Pretty simple math. Do for yourself, save your own money, and stop the sniveling already. Government should be law enforcement, and the military, everything else should be privatized etc. I support a 1% consumption tax, too to help pay for municipal improvements etc.

I think the REAL republicans think generally in that direction, and I don't see any problem with it. YOU pay for YOUR gas, YOUR food, YOUR kids, and if ya can't feed em, don't breed em. If more countries did business that way, the world would be a better place, in my view. Clear-cut, straightforward, not a lot of room for ambiguity or misunderstandings. Go forth, support yourself, and don't be a lazy layabout.

Jesus man, that was like 16th Century Europe. The government has much bigger duties then just defense, and no, private corporations cannot be trusted to run our services. Profit over People? No Thank You

I can't wait to see the answers for this. I go to work everyday and when we talk politics this question always comes up. I don't see how any working class member can be a Republican per se. I have voted for Republicans in my state but then the national party doesn't support them because of their ideals. I like to split my ticket but can never see myself voting for a Republican presidential candidate but then again I only watch FOX to see what propaganda is being put on everyday. Why people watch this network and believe anything they report is beyond me.

Trickle down economics are a proven blessing for everyone.
I am a Dem all my life, but things are screwed up because of
the Dems, not the Republicans. Maybe they can do a little
better. I sure hope so.

in case you think of "status up for the middle type or working unfavourable" ability giving them some thing from the largess that government takes from tax payers, then no, none of them do, and easily shouldn't. that form of "status up for the middle type and working unfavourable" is precisely what created such community despotisms and enclaves of poverty and lack of expertise as Detroit has exchange into. this is no longer twist of fate that the 11 poorest and maximum crime-ridden cities interior the finished united states are ALL cities that have been run completely via Democratic administrations for the previous quarter century or extra proper. in case you think of it ability leveling the enjoying container, removing crony capitalism, and giving anybody the comparable threat to strengthen their very own subject devoid of government infringing on their very own freedoms, then definite, all of them do.

It's like with the minimum wage issue.

They'll only allow it if THEY can make a profit.
