is there any need to be so insulting and rude when people ask a question?
I reckon its to easy to be insulting whilst sitting by your laptop,its not so easy however to actually be helpfull,thanks to you all for your good advice and for the rest of you sados,well,up yours!!! :)

some people insult others to make them selves feel powerful and smug. others insult people because its their way of facing life and reality (sad really).
i have always been a positive thinker and this helps me treat people how i'd wish to be treated. respect does'nt cost anything and if all people used it, then insults would be decreased dramatically.......look in the mirror and know you are worth more than these negative a** holes....... good luck.......

Yeah, I'm 24 and when someone arbitrarily curses at me on the Internet, it's a shocking to me, too. People use the Internet for a variety of reasons. Most people who "troll" around and do nothing but post insulting or sarcastic posts are really bored, and would never have the guts to do the same in real life. Who they are behind the scenes is anyone's guess, but my guess is that they are all single guys in their late 20's or 30's living in their parent's basement.

Is just a word typed at the expense of energy. its not a slap or a punch on the face so dont let it get to you.
Oh BTW dont respond to insults with insults on the net. It is like saying to the first party "Hey I am like you so lets start insulting everyone"

I have found there are quite a few people who bolster themselves up by being critical of other people-it means they never have to do or say anything worthwhile themselves, they can just pretend they are better than everyone else. They do not realise how much damage and hurt they cause, especially when weak people jump on the bandwagon with them to protect themselves from becoming targets.

It just makes them feel in some sad pathetic little way that they are better than everyone else and the best thing to do is to just ignore it and NOT add fuel to their fire. Keep asking, keep answering, and keep making friends. The rest of the idiots will get bored eventually and go away.

I mainly find the people that are rude and insulting , are mainly like this because they have such a low self esteem , they think this will make them seem bigger in soceity.
All it is really doing , Is showing exactly how immature they really are

There is absolutely no need or want of insults, and those people are disrespectful to others. You just make sure you always stay respectful to others when answering, and always to ignore those who insult you - as well as report them if it helps.

It just seems a sad fact that websites such as this attract the more extreme bigots and racists etc. As you say, its easy to be like that on the computer but I'm sure most of them wouldn't dare say such things face to face.
