I find these other answers to be interesting, let me add my 2 cents. Before I give you the simple answer, let me "preach" for a moment. Contrary to what others have said, you drinking that much is NOT ok as long as you can carry on with life. Drinking always affects everyone around you even if you don't notice. Just because you don't see your pancreas getting inflamed doesn't mean it's not happening. Just because your eyes are not turning yellow yet does not mean you are not damaging your liver. Just because you are not on dialysis yet doesn’t mean that your kidneys are not in pre-failure. When these things happen to you I assure you that it will affect more than just you.
Now to answer your question; first of all, you asked it just as an alcoholic would. Anyone that truly wanted an unbiased opinion would not have used the word "only." By minimizing it in your question it "only" shows that you yourself feel the need to try and downplay it to seem less than you already know it is.
Secondly, you are on Yahoo answers questioning the feasibility of you being an alcoholic. If you had a teenage daughter and you saw her at the free clinic getting a pregnancy test done, would there be any doubt in your mind that she was sexually active? My point is this, if you have to ask, then you already know the answer. By asking you just want someone to convince you otherwise so you can justify doing what you do.
Lastly, whether it's 3 beers or 3 liters of gin, it really doesn't matter. You can be an alcoholic and not drink at all, it's classic behavioral minimization when alcoholics say “I only drink beer." If you "only" drink beer and if you are not an alcoholic why do you need a committee to decide what you are or are not? Just quit if you are not an alcoholic. Next I suppose you will tell me you like the taste of beer and that's why you drink it.
So I vote YES, you're an alcoholic! People don't ask "do I look fat" unless they think they look fat. And 9 times out of 10 they do. Now I'm sure that invokes an emotion in you that makes you want to tell me to F-off and say "who the F are you anyway and what the F do you know"; well, that's ok, because it's completely normal for you to feel that way.

Winston Churchill used to drink a full bottle of whiskey every day, was he an alcoholic?.... well maybe.
but the main question is:
is it ruin your life
others people life
your wallet
other thing, how often you get drunk?
what happened if you get out of beer some day?
that makes u mad or just wait for next day to get some
maybe 3 beers is nothing for you, and that don't make you an alcoholic but for sure you are an alcohol dependent, and that is almost risk enough to think about quiting

Alcoholism is an illness marked by drinking alcoholic beverages at a level that interferes with physical health, mental health, and social, family, or occupational responsibilities.
Alcoholism is divided into 2 categories: dependence and abuse.
People with alcohol dependence, the most severe alcohol disorder, usually experience tolerance and withdrawal. Tolerance is a need for markedly increased amounts of alcohol to achieve intoxication or the desired effect. Withdrawal occurs when alcohol is discontinued or intake is decreased. Alcohol dependents spend a great deal of time drinking alcohol, and obtaining it.
Alcohol abusers may have legal problems such as drinking and driving. They may also have problems with binge drinking (drinking 6 or more drinks at one sitting).
People who are dependent on or abuse alcohol continue to drink it despite evidence of physical or psychological problems. Those with dependence have more severe problems and a greater compulsion to drink.
Men who consume 15 or more drinks a week, women who consume 12 or more drinks a week, or anyone who consumes 5 or more drinks per occasion at least once a week are all at risk for developing alcoholism. (One drink is defined as a 12-ounce bottle of beer, a 5-ounce glass of wine, or a 1 1/2-ounce shot of liquor).

I hate that you're going by way of this. One piece of recommendation I can provide you, for the reason that you're 12, is to stay up for an afternoon whilst he comes dwelling sober and inform him that you just desire to speak to him approximately what he's doing to himself and the household and the way it's hurting every body adding himself. Most alcoholics do not observe that they emerge as an additional character once they drink and as a result harm the ones round them and not using a regard. If you do this and it does not paintings, then check out going in touch with a counselor. Most of the time, they're going to advocate what you will have to do. I didnt have an abusive father, nevertheless, I had approximately four under the influence of alcohol uncles that I used to be round such a lot of my early life. I understand the abuse, whether or not it have been verbal or bodily. I am sorry that you're going by way of this fairly.

If you have to have the beer no matter what quantity every day then yes. But the greatest news is, you're acknowling that you may have a problem and that's the best way to get help. Many people will recommend AA; I prefer other self or group help. Email if you want to "talk!" Good luck sweetie.

You're not an alcoholic as long as the booze doesn't keep you from fulfilling your obligations in life. You need to worry when you blow off friends for alcohol, miss appointements because you're hung over, or if you're just too drunk to get things done. As long as it doesn't affect your life and you're in control, you're good.

Its not how much you drink, its whether you can handle not drinking that.
If you skip a day of drinking your 3 beers do you get sick or irritable? That would tell you if you have a dependency.
