If you can find it in stores, it means people are still buying it. In fact, I used to work in a store between 2004 and 2005 that sold nothing BUT those magazines and videos. The "real life" porn industry does fairly well. The internet has not crippled any business to my knowledge at all. And many times, it's not just the pics in the mags that sell, but the captions.

Penthouse back in the late 70s early 80s used to be about the only way you could find a photographers erotic art publicly displayed but paintings of old masters erotic art are sometimes hung in museums. (it's just the narrow mindedness of modern society) And though most men only say they read it for the articles it was the most awarded magazine in the world for it's editorials. Bob Guccioni is not only one of the greatest photographers in the world but a genius, and as I know him, a very fair and honest man. Now since Bob doesn't run the magazine any more it's turned into just another dirty rag like all the rest. Playboy was always just a catalog of naked women.

I've never watched that show, but my husband did used to watch the girls next door...I payed a little more attention to her though when I was pregnant because we were due several days apart. :) However, after reading your question, I really agree with her husband. As a wife and a mother, I do not think she should continue posing. And also, I would never in a million years buy a magazine that my daughter posed nude in and I think my husband would probably do the same thing as Leah's husband if he ever stumbled across a nude picture of her. I too would never encourage my daughter to pose naked or even half naked for anything or to enter the adult entertainment industry. I think it's better to keep some mystery there and make the guys wonder rather than let it all hang out for everyone to see...

Playboy magazine actually loses money it takes the whole Playboy corporation to turn a profit. Believe it or not there are enjoyable articles and some great information in Playboy. If I just wanted to look at porn there is much more hardcore stuff free on the internet.

I think Playboy's losing popularity. Lots of guys, myself included, would rather look at magazines that have more diversity in the type of girls they present, and also have them wearing sexy lingerie or tight outfits versus being completely naked. I am talking about magazines like Stuff, FHM, and Maxim that leave a little more to the imagination.

They must cause the magazines are still in business. Never underestimate the power of porn and the weakness of lonely men.

Of course we guys still buy them. Why would they still have these magazines if there were no buyers for them?
