The adaptor is actually the least of your problems. Since you are on 240vac 50Hz in Australia, depending on what you are trying to power, you will need a step down transformer (voltage converter) as we use 110/120vac 60 Hz. However, carefully look at the electroncis that you plan to use in the U.S. Some electronics will work if they are rated for dual voltage. Take for example a laptop power supply. If you read the power supply, if it says something to the effect of 110-240vac, 50/60 Hz, then with the proper adapter, your laptop will work.

I truly have lived for some years on the two factors of the Atlantic. there isn't any transformer to pass from a hundred and ten/one hundred twenty to 220/240. It is going any different way through fact the transformer can decrease the voltage even though it may no longer advance it. additionally, ecu home equipment run on an prompt modern-day through fact the U. S. runs on an alternating modern-day. final analysis, if she truly desires that style of ingredient, she would be able to in all probability would desire to purchase one interior the U. S.. as nicely, i think of Farrah Fawcett and Monica are warm!

Besides the information that's already been given, you will need to buy a plug adaptor. Your Australian plugs are very much larger than ours and we only have 2 prongs. I had just the opposite problem coming to Australia, and I bought my adaptor in Sydney.
I hope your trip to the US is as wonderul as mine was....Australia rocks!
