The Aliens in the movie War of the Worlds approach Borg Space(Borg from Star Trek). They encounter a lone Borg Cube who threaten to assimilate these Aliens. This is a battle of superior technology..who do you believe would win?

Nobody wins. First the Borg assimilate the WotW aliens, then they get exposed to a cold virus and all die. Game over.

An interesting comparison, given that the Borg tend to be seen in spaceflight, while the "Martians" are seen terrestrial. However, judging by the relative technologies of the two, my nod is to the Borg. The "Martians" had definite weaknesses apart from the biological, something that the Borg would quickly learn to exploit. Any Borg weaknesses resulted not from technological aspects, but from having their connectivity compromised, something that I would not expect out of the "Martians". (By the way, H. G. Wells' Martians were not nearly as invincible as they appeared in the Tom Cruise film.)

The Borg would soooo win.
Guy above me, the borg couldn't die from a cold virus because they're mostly machine. Any biological body parts they have could just be replaced with more mechanical parts.
BTW thanks for making me argue about a bunch of fictional characters. i'm officially a nerd. thanks.
