sylvia brown says they are coming for good( out in the open to everybody) in 2010 which isnt to far away.

Sounds believable, and i hope it is real.

1. Considering the size of the universe, it's feasible to believe there may be extraterrestrial life in existence. There have been so many UFO sightings and reports over the years that the whole concept has been ridiculed.

2.Nope. And if I had I probably would have put it down to an alcoholic delusion from one too many pints.

3. Governments hide everything from us. I can't see why this should get preferential treatment in their clandestine world.

Personally, I wouldn't mind if they did announce themselves in 2010. It would give people something else to concentrate on other than killing each other.

Yes i believe in aliens, no haven't been abducted ad no the govt isn't hiding anything (of that nature) from us.
Among the countless stars, there must be at least one planet that through incredibly fortunate circumstances, like earth came to be bearing life, I doubt however the level of developement of life on these planets, chances are that humanity is the most technologically advanced life form in our galaxy, for sentient life to exist out there means:
a) The planet must be capable of supporting life (not many of those)
b) The planet survives long enough to produce a species that would be able to evolve "sentient based" characteristics
c) The specie itself surives until sentience dawns

Also to travel at the speed of light (almost impossible if not so) to reach our nearest star would take a full thousand years, so even if we are not alone (we're not) chances are we'll never reach them vice versa also if we do reach another planet say through a ship capable of the speed of light or of creating a "worm hole" basicallly bending space (requires the energy of entire suns) with people sustained through cryosleep, who's to say there will be intelligent life most likely it will bacteria, or sulphur breathing creatures that are dumber than goats.

Damn i went off topic anyway.... I must admit although unlikely it is possible that a specie out there is incredibly technologically advanced enough to reach us but the chances are really, really low to acquire that level of tech would mean that they evolved while there planet was "young" (earth has already gone through 90% of its ability to sustain life when that 10% goes it will be another mars) and that the specie/s survived themselves and have been really lucky (weapons of mass destruction, meteors, managed their environment well enough to keep sustaining them etc.
