I think in your case, it is lake - a big lake of lack of education.

Lake of Education? I wonder if this is associated with the Fountain of Youth. Lmao.

In all seriousness, obesity is rising because people become too lazy to cook full course meals or just don't have the time with their busy hectic schedules. Also, wealth could play a factor since fast food is generally cheap. That and temptation.. everyone loves fattening foods and would probably chose to eat them over nutritional foods.

I don't think it has anything to do with education, misunderstandings, or prosperity; Just poor choices.

If you look at the statistics, it's the poorest ppl of America who are obese. This is b/c the cheapest foods are very fattening (ie: trans fats, sugar) and unhealthy. They are also prone to depression which breeds inactivity. If you want to make a simple thing like a smoothie out of real fruit etc., plan on spending a hell of a lot more than you would on the imitation ready-made stuff. I think a lack of education plays into it as well. Kids nowadays are shovelling fried foods into their mouths at school everyday.

Probably lack of education on a healthy diet coupled with not enough time (to shop and cook) and too many fast food restaurants that offer cheap fast food.

fast food, poor education, lack of knowledge in terms of what a portion is, the "need" for junk food and not caring about what you put in your body.
