hi buddie's, i wanna ask u that can we connect 2 computer's via internet using "ip" adress, so that we can share data from hardisk to hardisk..
i had listen about this thereby,
plz help me out
if i able to connect, i ll vote as much as possible.....

mearly connecting on the internet is a BAD idea because the 2 units will be wide open to hackers. what you want to do is have a VPN (virtual private network). get this service (free) from 'hamachi" and you will be able to transmit data fully encrypted and totally secure.

Yes you can connect two computers via internet and share data with your friends through ip address but but the transfer will not be like HDD to HDD because it id like you are downloading data from the the internet, so the transfer rate would be depending on your internet connection.
But a very easy way to that would be long on to this website and youll be able to do it in like 5 minutes -

There many such websites on the internet try finding them on google.

And incase you still want to do it using ip then mail me back for more detials ill explain you in detail about it.

Try to use remote desktop or use a peer to perr program are program for file sharing
