She's little, so she would be able to no longer understand this as much as though she have been 3 or 4, so be grateful. A friend of mine whose sister is now a single mom of a four month old was telling me today that her sister is doing well, all things considered. There are really a LOT of resources for single moms out there. Get in touch with your Planned Parenthood clinic ASAP and theyll calm you down and get you the resources and information you need most.

The fact that you're worrying shows you've got those mom skills already! You'll be okay. Hang in there. Your baby (and later, child, teenager, friend) will bring joy into your life that you've never known before. It will be worth it, even if you might go through some rough times.

This what some stupid people on here don't get, it doesn't matter what age you are you can be in the same situation like a teenage mother. You will need all the help you can get, although me as a teenage parent did not get all the help I wanted (food stamps, childcare, and never filed for child support). It won't be easy I just hope you got your parents and family around because these are the people that can help far as babysitting while you go out and get a job to support your child. Please don't look forward for any financial help from your people. It will come back and haunt you. JUST BABYSITTING.

You're going to need some kind of a support network; ask friends and family if they're willing to help you out with babysitting, shopping, etc.

I say buy as much as you can for the baby (and for yourself from now on) used, like from craigslist.com.

Find a local food bank that can give you some food on a weekly basis: http://www.secondharvest.org/

Sign up for WIC: http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/

Best of luck to you.

Women do it everyday. I have been doing it for 6 years. I hate to be mean, but why did you get pregnant by someone who is not going to be in the child's life already?

It's hard to be a single mom. Good luck!
