All employers in the UK have a statutory duty to provide adequate toliet facilities for employees under the Health and Safety legislation. For more information go to your local Citizen's Advice Bureau or visit www.adviceguide.org.uk. Don't feel intimidated by legal advice, it is there to protect you. Your employer cannot ignore the law and cannot victimise you for raising any issues.
Best of luck
ps. Your employer cannot write terms into your contract that offer you less than you are entitled to by law. Even if you have signed a contract stating that there are no toilets, the law will override this because the employer must cover basic rights.

Check with your local health department. Most states have requirement that state they must provide facilities for employees and then gets to the customers part and breaks down by how many customers the place has etc. Check with the health department in most states they regulate plumbing licensing and that covers the public restrooms as well. Hope this helps ;)

I quite agree. Make your employees chip in to buy a portaloo, after all they will use it a lot more than you. What about cooking facilities? If they won't provide these things, you can tell the CBI or go on strike.

Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992
There must be suitable and sufficient toilet and washing facilities provided at readily accessible places. These should be kept clean and there should be running water, soap and towels or other means of drying.

I assume you mean employer? Well then, have you ever seen the Adam Sandler movie Big Daddy? Recall Sandler's solution when the restaurant manager wouldn't let the child in to use the restroom? Yeah, that's my first solution...although it's not conducive to a long future with the company.

If there are no facilities, then the employer is breaching the Health and Safety at Work act.

They are in breach of all employment laws in the UK if you are in a fixed location such as an office/warehouse etc... how can they expect you to do a days work without a toilet.....
If you travel with your job, then its your responsibility to find a toilet when you need one.
