Complacent about what you have means you truly don't care what is around you---the opposite of satisfied.
Complacent is more of an "acceptance" reaction. The old, "Accept what I cannot change." Complacency yields powerlessness.

Being Satisfied is when you can look around your environment and feel joy, almost an enamored with your surroundings; content, and energized--empowered.

I think the balance is being satisfied with what you must accept in your life.

It's one thing to be satisfied. Being complacent means you're also sure it will last, and no more need be done. Life does not work that way. My favorite quote is "This, too, shall pass."
