It depends on the stage of the pregnancy I suppose. In the early months it should be perfectly normal provided the flight doesn't make the mother stressed or agitated. In the later stages it may be necessary to contact the flight agencies or a doctor who can tell you in your case specifically whether or not it is safe. Hope this helped! :)

From a physician: It's not really safe for ANY human to jump off tall buildings waving their arms in hopes of becoming airborne....

As far as travel by AIRCRAFT, flying is usually okay before 36 weeks gestational age. This gives you the best chance of delivering in a hospital rather than an airplane.

Pregnant women are at increased risk for deep vein thrombosis, or blood clots (typically in the legs). On long flights, make sure you stand up and walk a couple of times when it's safe to do so. You can also flex your calf and thigh muscles while sitting.

Planes are often very dry, so bring some extra water to drink.

Exposure to ionizing radiation is increased higher in the atmosphere. The risk to the fetus from flying, however, is low enough to be negligible.

The other consideration is your destination. Make sure you have access to medical care when and where you land. Let your physician know of your travel plans, in case it's necessary to forward medical records or otherwise communicate.

Yes.... up to around 34 week, check with each of the airlines policies, some may require a doctors certificate in later pregnancy, make sure you carry your pregnancy notes with you and that you are adequately insured... check your travel insurance, some don't cover pregnancy, while others do.

It's safe to fly although they do say if your prone to miscarriages, the the first trimester its best to stay on the ground.

Sure, so long as she has her health care provider's acclaim for it then she's excellent to move. Most ladies will decide-out of the brand new scanning device, however as my healthcare professional mentioned, - there is more radiation publicity in flying than in that gadget. However, they is not going to blame you for taking part in it safe.

Best advice will come from your doctor. Unless it is a difficult pregnancy, doctors are almost universal in allowing air travel during the first two trimesters. During the last, however, it can be tricky. During the last month, definitely don't.

In the early stages of pregnancy I believe you need to be careful, the same as the later stages, but maybe an airline would be the best people to advise
