I'm jumping on the anti-illegal imigration bandwagon here. I have no problem with the several latinos playing baseball here in the U.S., nor do I have a problem with the likes of Ichiro (Japan), Byun Hyung Kim (Korea), or Jason Bay (Canada). As long as they're here under legal pretenses.

BTW- Most of the latinos in MLB are from the Dominican Republic which is a U.S. Territory....

Americans are not "anti-immigration". Unless your forefathers were the ones who met the Mayflower when it arrived, we are ALL immigrants anyway. The difference is it was done (immigration) LEGALLY.

Most "Americanos" have no problem with "foreigners", and I for one love the different cultures, foods, etc. that it brings.

I can NOT tolerate one who does not follow the laws I must follow, and then demands I give them their "rights". That is what illegal immigration does, and why it is of a concern to the US.

Illegal immigration is what has everyone upset, not latinos coming into the U.S. legally. And I pay to see all baseball players on the team, not just the latino ones.
Man ! Just look at what you did to Jay M above! He sounds like he's ready to throw his computer out the window he's so mad!
We're here to talk baseball, not $$$ or latinos or illegal immigration.
If you want to talk politics, or Social Science, go into those categories.
Esto deberia ser divertido, no serio e incomodo.
Y otra cosa : No empiezes nada que no puedes acabar, Menso. No quiero que los demas te odien aqui en la seccion de beisbol. : ) Buena suerte.

Most of the Latino players are still residents of their home country and play baseball on work visas. And most Americans are anti- ILLEGAL immigration. So your question really doesn't make sense.

There's a difference between Legal Immigration and Illegal Immigration.

Legal immigration is ok.

Many American are against Illegal Immigration. It's against the law, just like grand theft is against the law.

Baseball players aren't here illegally. They've gone through the proper paperwork.

It's not that many Americans are against immigration... immigration is the lifeblood of this country. They are against totally uncontrolled illegal immigration. It's not a racist thing, just a matter of controlling our influx of immigrants to a reasonable level. So, the nationality of the baseball player is not a factor as to whether they like them or not.. it is based on if that player has talent!

America accepts more immigrants than any other country in the world. America is not anti-immigration, although some political groups are anti-illegal immigration.

1) It's just a game.

2) Most Americans aren't against immigration; most are against illegal immagration. All baseball players must be legal citizens of the USA according to MLB rules.

3) It's the great AMERICAN pastime, hispanic players or not.

I'm an American and I am not against immigration. Also, I very much dislike sports...

I'm sorry but it seems that I do not know the answer to your question. Do you happen to be latino?
