I'm always dumbfounded when people of the United States say that they are pleased with the job George W. Bush is doing. It makes me wonder if they are even paying attention to what is going on in the world. They don't seem to be aware of all the unlawful, immoral, dishonest and treasonous things his administration has done. They usually say something stupid like, "well he's better than Kerry", or "It's a good thing that Bush was president on 9/11". Or when asked why they voted for him, they say because "he's a 'Christian'", or "he's pro-life". I cannot believe those reasons were the basis for them voting for Bush.
Like one of the girls answered because "he has a difficult job to do". Well no kidding. But does she actually know what he's doing in any of the situations he's had to deal with? He's bungled them all. Then he shifts responsibility and says, 'we didn't know", or "that's the info we were given'. They are in control of the most powerful highest elected office in this country and they work like they're working their first job.
Then people say they are happy with him because in their minds he's keeping the country safe. No he isn't. He's making it worse. He's stomping around where we don't belong and making more enemies around the world everyday.
People don't seem to mind that our President really is not that smart. He runs the country and he does a worse job than you or I could.
They don't mind that his policies don't work.
They don't mind that he got our country into a mess in Iraq. They make excuses for him and at the same time act like they really care about the Iraqi people.
They don't mind that their rights are being violated. In their fearful minds it's okay if it keeps them safe.
They don't seem to notice or mind that the two elections that he was involved in were both questionable in the integrity and results. Never in my life has that happened. Then afterward we do learn of improprieties, but by then it's too late. The Republicans probably laugh that they pulled it off, but it makes them bad people. It makes them cheaters. It makes them liars. And that's not American and that isn't how an American is supposed to be.
They will say, well Clinton this, or Clinton that. I say, what about Clinton? he's no longer President. They make a big deal about not telling the truth about what he did with Monica, but they are fine with Bush not telling the truth about Iraq and many other issues.
So either people don't really know what is happening in the world and the things that G.W. is doing in the name of OUR country, or they are like him and have the same lack of intelligence, morals, integrity and compassion.

right now, yes. ive always thought of bush as a great president but the way he's handling the situation with Israel and Lebanon is HORRIFYING! he's letting all the innocent people in Lebanon get killed for something they dont deserve!
And i thought we were a nation that wanted peace and no killing??? i thought we wanted equality! gosh i really thought the government would be on the same page but i guess not.
what if america was not a world power and UK was doing that to us and NO ONE supported us and our innocent people got killed.. .what if WE were in place of Lebanon?
bush is showing up to be a GREEDY man. but then again, im SCARED out of my MIND to think how Kerry would've handled this issue so I guess Bush is better but that's still a lot to say.

Absolutely not. Gore was involved with a lot of illegal activity during the Clinton administration, and Kerry is a traitor. Either would have been a horrible president.

NO I would vote for him again in a heartbeat. He has done a fantastic job as President. Especially with the things he has had to deal with. Not an easy job to have.

That's like saying "Do you have any regrets now about boarding the Titanic?" or "Other than that, how did you like Dallas, Mrs. Kennedy?"

Occasionally. I was not pleased with his veto of the stem cell bill, or of his failure to veto some of the more egregious spending bills. On balance, however, I would rate his presidency as satisfactory.

the other candidate was worse.
all he did was ctiticize bush.
i kept waiting to hear what he had to offer.
it never came.
what he stood for.
programs and legislation he wanted to see done.
instead what i saw was being arrogant
and criticizing george.
so , no i don't have regrets.
