Let's see. "Babysitting Muslim Countries". What a concept. UN is babysitting these countries because they enjoy doing it. Let me give you an example. Afghanistan. A country invaded by the British many many times, until she fought back and won her freedom in 1919. Then in 1979, the country was invaded by the Soviet Union. The USA sent money and weapons to the Mujahiden, or freedom fighters, so that they fight and drive the Soviets out of that country. The mujahiden were also trained by US to fight the Russians. Everyone who knows about the war in Afghanistan can tell you this. And then in 1989, Soviets were finally driven out. Then the US let the mujahideen tear Afghanistan into peices. A civil war started and most of the country was destroyed. In 1996, the Taliban who were the same people who faught the Soviets with the American weapons, took over Afghanistan. They raped, murdered and robbed the people of Afghanistan. And until September of 2001, no one told them to stop. Not the "babysitting UN or the proud USA". They let them go on until the fire got so big that it spread to America. Then they went and invaded Afghanistan. Now the country is recovering from 27+ years of war and distruction brought on it by just about every country in the world including Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the USA. Now, you tell me if this country needs baby-sitting or not. I would be very surprised if you say you don't think so.

Some have learned a little bit, Kuwait for instance, and Saudi Arabia and Libya are much more cautious than they used to be. Really the only problems are Iran, Syria, Yemen, and maybe Somalia and Sudan. The rest pretty much don't want to fight. It's groups like Hamas, Hezbullah, and Al Quaeda that create problems. These are who Iran and Syria support.

How many are they "babysitting"right now?
NONE!
When i last check there were no UN forces in afghanistan in iraq or afghanistan, they were americans,NATO and a few allies here and there(New zealand, australia, canada etc..)
And they agressors not babysitters..
Com on man UNO could't even condemn intentional killing of their unarmed observers due to american pressure..
I don't know what you talking about ..
