Depending on where you downloaded limewire, you could have been infected with Malware.

Most people don't know this, but limewire and all the others like this are required to report your IP address to the music and movie industry investigators when you download their programs. So, not only will you not enjoy the Virus infected free music you download, but you'll get to enjoy the huge lawsuit payments when the industry comes after you. Enjoy.

Better scan your computer with AV/AS programs to locate and try to remove any infection you picked up.

Make sure that Limewire is not running in the background if you are not using it. Limewire used up a lot of memory, especially if you are downloading things from it. It will slow down your other running applications. In Limewire setting, make sure you do not auto-start it whenever you starts your computer.

try to defragment and virus check., i guess because of limewire thats why you computer start to run slower., try to lessen the program that your running., to do this click on the start, click run and type msconfig., on the general tab., click selective start-up., then on the start up tab., uncheck the program that you want to run during start up....opening one program at a time makes your pc run faster

Computer Slow

Download and then run startup.exe (FREEWARE) at:

http://www.mlin.net/startupcpl.shtml......

Can't live without it and windows...

Then disable and/or uninstall whatever u don't need.

Other things to try:

1 - Disk Cleanup (removal of temp files, cookies, etc.)
2 - Defrag
3 - Registry Cleanup (CAN BE VERY RISKY!)

ALL ELSE FAILS - RELOAD YOUR O/S (WINDOWS) AND THEN REINSTALL ALL OTHER PROGRAMS YOU NEED/USE!
