I really like him and i've been with him 2 times in the past year but ihave no idea if he likes me..i see him once in a while and he lives up the street from me..and hes nice..sometimes...but only when i dont cop an attitude with him

You say you've been with him 2 times in the past year ... does that mean sex?
If you only see him once in a while and he's only nice to you sometimes, I'd say he's NOT your friend, and definitely not worth your time. If he was interested in you, he would make an effort to see you and be nice all the time, even if you are rude to him.
And, WHY would you be rude to someone that you like?

Its like you are giving some kind of test. Dear just try to find out his feelings and try to turn your self according to him. Actually as you said you meat him only for 2 times then it's not sure that u loves him. It could be just an Attraction also.
So make your self ready that you can understand his feelings / eyes. then go ahead.
