I don't think you need to be a philosopher to see that experience teaches. Did you learn to ride a bike? How did it go? Did you just get on the bike with what you'd been told to do and stay on? Or did you find out through experiencing it that you had to keep your balance to stay on? Everything we do has an element of new experience to it. It's easy to do things "in your head", but when it comes to the actual ohysical "doing" of them you find that there can be a dozen hitches before you get it right, if ever. I can visualize removing an appendix, but I would never try to do it because I haven't had the experience!!! (Besides the fact that they'd lock me up for trying!) Med.students practice on cadavers! What have you experienced in your life that taught you certain things about other people for instance. I've learnt that certain people don't return books, so I won't lend to them any more. I've experienced being charged an extra charge on top of a bill for late payment, so I'm careful now, not to forget to pay on time. etc..etc..etc..... You could add thousands!
