At least a Dozen ! I Quit in August '89, and to this Day I still want a Cigarette ! But, it's not so much the Tobacco that's addictive. It's the Chemicals added to it when it's grown, and then when the Cigarettes are Manufactured. Here's a sure fire way to Quit, if nothing else works. Get Organically Chemical Free Tobacco, and a Cigarette making Kit that will make Your Cigs. look Normal so no One will think You're Smoking something else. A Local Tobacco Shop should be able to Order everything for You. That'll get the Chemicals out of Your System, and make Quitting a whole lot easier. I had to Quit "Cold Turkey". But if You can't, this could be a Viable Alternative.

Twice. The first one went for about 10 months. I quited definitely, cold turkey, because I was having continuous problems with my throat and it crossed my mind that I could have cancer. It took me over a year to start feeling well. My doctor told me that when we smoke, we don't feel many of the problems smoking is creating because cigarettes have substances that act like anesthetics, so when you stop smoking the problems you weren't noticing start to be noticed. IT IS BLOODY HARD to quit, but think that you are poisoning yourself and that you could die young and poor and the decision is irreversible. Best decision ever!

Once with a situation monitoring program, once with one-step-at-a-time filters, once with a medical psych program and finally using hypnosis. Smoke free for 18 years.
