no it is not true that we only act out the things that have happened to us... humans are far more complex and capable than that... we are not mere sheep that do what we see and here done... we can imagine, create, pretend, and we can do all of that with tints of light or dark.... we have choices

If you're not consciously aware of it having ever happened to you, did it actually REALLY happen? Maybe your dark desires, or sins, are the influence of people you've met or something you seen, etc. Do you think sins are inherited in the genetics of a father to his children? If your dad was a serial rapist, are you going to be born that way, too?
If you want to believe it, then it is true to you. But, it isn't a proven scientific fact that this is truth. Now, is it not?

Not necessarily. Much of behavior is learned, but I feel that humans are inherently instinctual and in some instances, your actions can be entirely spontaneous, whether they are good or bad.
However, I do believe that while some actions may not necessarily be a replication of something you have previously experienced or witnessed, I think the behavior can come from multiple events that your mind links together, and your acts are based on a generalized group of experiences.

Many things we act out are related to desire and fantasy. I don't think we "act out" the sins of our fathers but we do live by example don't we???
