i think you should let kids be kids and not put too much pressure on them.

Child prodigies should be the children who are naturally smart and start doing extra academic work on their own, regardless of if it's music, art, math, science, reading, etc. Parents of children who show a natural interest in academics may encourage this: "Would you like to read a book today?" They should not force work upon the child by demanding them to read. Children who are the product of forced piano lessons or forced early attendance in school are not true prodigies; they only learned the work because directions were very repetitive and they had to learn to avoid punishment!

I believe that there are too many "forced" prodigies in the world who would rather be regular kids and not enough credit given to the real prodigies because they were at home reading a book rather than trying to get on a talk show.

There should only be one if the parents are involved and the children really want to go through all that extra work. Otherwise, let them develop naturally and enjoy childhood- the shortest period of their lives.
