San Andreas is SO much bigger than Liberty City I can't begin to draw a comparison. There is so much more to do (or not do) in GTA:SA compared to GTA3 or even GTA:VC that it really isn't really fair. I loved GTA3 and GTA:VC but San Andreas is taking it to a whole new level. It must be played to be fully understood.

San Andreas is waaaaaaaaay better then GTA: 1, 2, or 3. It's the same controls and that but the neighborhood is in California (the ghetto and some urban parts) You get to learn some new fighting skills in the game. And yes there are gangs taking over other gangs territory. The player your controlling can take over territories. You have to provoke a gang war and win first.

Exactly, except that on this one instead of having Tony (white Italian) you have a dude named Karl (typical ghetto stereotype) that starts out as a nobody and by doing missions that include fights with the rival gangs dirty jobs for the police and other stunts aims to finally gain control of his old neighborhood and establish a territory. The map is really twice the size of liberty city, the graphics less pix-elated, more vehicles, weapons and character interactions that make you feel more like living in a real city.
