oh goodness now I KNOW I am old.... not only does 1999 feel recent but so does 1988.

If I'm thinking back to it, then yes. It does seem very recent. But when I put into perspective what's happened since then, and that it's been 7 1/2 years since, then no, it seems a long time ago.

So near and yet so far...or somewhere halfway. Practically, it is 7 years away, which is a long time back in time, but I still remember the days when I was in 2nd and 3rd grade at school. To give it's due, I'm in 10th grade now, but the memories are still vivid in my mind.
