All the reasons you listed in your question seem valid. Since I'm atheist, personally, it has more to do with how I was reared and how I see the world. When I treat others kindly (not randomly, but as often as I can), I do it because that's how I'd want to be treated. As Gandhi said, "Be the change you want to see in the world." Being nice tends to result in people being nice to you. Conversely, being rude or selfish tends to result in others treating you the same way.
If you want more than a casual explanation, there is scientific explanation in the realm of evolutionary biology. When looking at social systems, it was a great challenge to explain how altruism (the practice of placing others before oneself) could evolve when life is inherently selfish in nature. After much debate and conflicting ideas, it was finally discovered that reciprocal altruism (one provides a benefit to another in the expectation of future reciprocation) could explain such actions between unrelated individuals as long both parties could remember and identify each other and both used a strategy called "Tit for tat" (or something similar). In my sources, I've provided links from Wikipedia, in case you're interested. But to sum it up, individuals in a social species will act towards the benefit of other unrelated individuals (and possibly at a cost to themselves) as long as others reciprocate the favors from time to time. There are also elements of conditioning involved, such as how you're reared or maybe promises of future reward (such as a pleasant afterlife).

You never know what a simple act of kindness can do to a person. I just enjoy making people feel better because it makes me feel better. I know it is the right thing to do, and that I will get rewarded for it, but that is not the only reason that I do it. By the way, I love your avatar~

Everyman has his own likes and dislikes due to his gene, environment and formed opinions. These shape a man's personality, interests, approach to others and also his reactions to others. Naturally, there will not be uniform behaviours because of this. Then a person behaves differently at different occassions given the same issue. So there is a permutation and combination of all aspects, why he does not conduct himself uniformly throughout.
The real man in oneself comes out only when he is pushed to the wall.

It makes me feel good about myself. Most human activity has a selfish motive. But that does not mean that it still can't be an altruistic action.
Whether you call it karma, or the golden rule, or whatever, the energy we put into the universe comes back to us. You can call it cause and effect, but it is real.

once you sense a would desire to continuously question the motives of kindness.. you in all probability do no longer comprehend what this is all approximately. once you sense a would desire to furnish kindness a kick... you in all probability have matters that want attending. once you attempt to wrestle kindness with unkindness... you may would desire to take an intensive check out why you're able to do this. Kindness should not be at a loss for words with being too delicate.. that's why you may supply kindness by doing what's suitable for somebody. Kindness, in itself.. you will desire to no longer ever get too plenty.

My motives for random acts of kindness towards other people are simply that I have helped them out and they will be less stressed. Besides, I don't mind helping people. I like helping other people and it makes me feel good.

its more about the act of giving or providing help to another human being.. well, all religions state this but only a few ppl follow it.. its all about the love and compassion for fellow human beings.. i had at one time, helped a person who had fallen down from a bike and hurt himself very bad.. just a few minutes ago, he had bullied and abused me.. but after this incident, he became a better friend..

I just like to be kind and help people. People have done the same to me. My motive is that it's the right thing to do.
