It is a process, and you have to really be committed and SMART about it because there are a lot of people out there that will try to take advantage of a younger person trying to make it big! Believe me. If you've acted at all, find out if your your acting coach or teacher knows of a trustworthy agent , also get a letter from them recommending you. If you haven't acted, it's really hard because really how do even you know you can do it? reading lines is one thing, but following directions, being at a certain spot the second you say a certain word of dialogue, understanding the terminology, there's alot more to it then movie premieres and great clothes. You'll need to put a portfolio together of different pictures, so you'll need to hire a photographer. If you've been in plays, or if you're going to be in plays, make sure you have someone taking your picture in character. Keep a running biography of yourself and what you're doing to further your career. You'll need to have a resume' that shows what plays you've been in, what classes you've taken, what accomplishments you've acheived. If you're lucky enough to live in LA or New York, you may be able to just go out on an open casting call, but you will still need a "Head" shot(8 1/2 x 11" picture of your face) with your resume' on the back. I don't want to discourage you at all because if you have the drive you can do it. But you also have to be realistic Good Luck

Research on the Internet or audition for plays and pour all of your heart into acting until an agent finds you.

You can find them in the phone book but it is probably better to ask around from people who work in the area in which you are intrested for thier recommendation.

If you're looking for "showbiz" type of agents, call me.
If you're looking for "FBI" type of agents, kill me.
