You say so little in words, but possibly much in the emotions behind them. Is he leaving because he never cared? Did you think he HAD cared? Does he want to meet with you himself -- and if so, why? Why would YOU want to meet again with him if the relationship is over and closed? What do you hope to accomplish by meeting with him again? What risk to your emotional wellbeing do you take by seeing him again? There are so many questions you have to ask -- and these are only from YOUR viewpoint! Also you should ask yourself questions like, does he need to hear something from me that may go unsaid otherwise? Is he aware you intend this to be the last meeting? Will he lose or gain from meeting you again?
It may be simply that you deceived yourself that he once cared for you, and you now feel deep disappointment. If this is the case it will do good neither for you nor for him to meet again -- in which case my advice is to "let sleeping dogs lie" and strike out in a new direction with your life, at least rid of the misapprehension that he cared for you.

Of course not.

But are you really sure that he never cared?????

And if you are pretty sure about it, why give him the attention and care he does not deserve!!! It is to be given only to special and caring people. It is a world of give and take. If someone respects you, cares for you, loves you then only feel the same for him or her.

Anyways don't get disheartened, someone somewhere is definitely made for you. So wait for the right one to come!!!

The main question is where is he going and why is he leaving? If he is leaving to go back to his wife or former lover because he is still in love with her.then I say let him go and make a clean break and don't look back.He was never yours to begin with.Save yourself some tears and anguish let him go and got ridddance.!

If he is going off to war or service for his country I say support him inevery way possible ;let him know how much he is loved and appreciated.

If he is running from responsibilty;let him go.You don't need someone in your love that will not be there to love and suppport you when you need them.

Show honor and respect and it will be shown to you

If you are not comfortable meeting this person do no do it. It could be he just want a last roll in the hay with you. Unless this is okay with you again don't do it. Let the past be and move on.

Why? Sounds like someone you won't miss ever seeing again anyway, so frag 'im. Walk away and don't look back. You won't be missing anything, I promise

How is this to do with books and authors? Is it a book plot? If not - don't go.
