With the number one defense from last year and a fresh Grossman and a full strength C. Benson, and dramatic inprovements on special team why don't people think they will do any better than last year. Name another team that could go 11-5 with a rookie 4th round QB.

I'm not sure where you're reading that the Bears aren't getting respect. I'm saying there isn't any team in the NFL that laughed when they saw the Bears on their schedule this year. Regardless of the outcome, they'll be in for one heck of a fight. If the Bear D can continue last year's pace and give their offense a chance to win the game, the Bears could go deeper into the playoffs. If all the tangibles come together during the 17 week season, they could end up in the Big Game come February.

They were at full strength last year with Grossman in the playoffs and still lost. This team still has to prove it has an offense to go along with the defense. The QB and WR's have to prove they can be effective. Until then, they will win their division, but with Carolina, the NFC East, and Seattle, it will still be hard-pressed for them to go far in the playoffs.

da Bears were the luckiest team in football last year; they were lucky to win 11. They will have to have lady lucky on their side again this year to make the playoffs! Last year they could not beat the Cleveland Browns! That should tell you how not so good they really are!

I'm a Falcon fan and I have lots of respect for the Bears. They have a great defense especially Urlacher or however you spell his name and a serious threat to get to the title game or better this year! Good luck!

Because no one believes in the Bears.

#1 defense? Is that because they EARNED it or because they play in a division that had absolutely NO offense....none at all.

And could it be when ya'll finally did play an offense....Steve Smith dropped like 250 yards and 6 TD's on the Bears.

Well first of all, have you noticed who is in your division? Not that hard to win a division with those teams there.

Back when they were winning, they rubbed it in everyone's face. How can you respect that?
