I saw it, liked it, perhaps they were trying to get people to stop going overseas? I thought they could have had worse things happen to some of the people, although that girl with the eye was pretty bad. I truly think that there are probably places like that though. Think about it, how hard would it be to start it in a 3rd world country? There are obvioulsy people in this world that would do things like that. Look at all the serial killers! There is usually always some truth to fiction. They had to base it off something right? What do you think you saw?

I thought "Hostel" was the stupidest movie of all time. Not realistic at all. Just another attempt of the US to brain wash the American public into believing that there is no safer place than their country. Although over 100,000 people get lost every year and the police finds dungeons all the time in sick men's homes There are descent normal people in euorpe and other places in the world. This movie is so far from the truth. It's just not realistic or believable. Badly written and acted.

Meaning Of Hostel

I think it really just portrays the unnecessary brutality of mankind, probably men in particular, and the fact that some people, like Quentin Tarantino (j/k), just have some kind of primal bloodlust. Some think the need to kill is in our blood, but I honestly don't think so. Not to mention the setting of the movie, some backwater European country, and the fact that Americans tend to be treated with much more hostility overseas nowadays, but we seem oblivious to it, might hold some ground to the opinion that Americans seem to think they're superior and invincible and just have to be proven wrong. And that there was an American there paying for this service as well, kind of leveled out the playing field so that we don't walk away thinking that eastern Europeans are all sick f*%#s. I'm about to ruin the end, so if you haven't seen it, stop reading................................................................I really enjoyed that the American miraculously won in the end, and got such horrific revenge. I guess we all have a little bloodlust for the bad guy.

The deeper meaning that I felt from the movie "Hostel" is, what will I do if I am the one being the piece of "body" ready to be tortured.

I imagine myself in that torment, ready to accept my fate that this is how I were to die. But I really can't put my head in all that pain and gore. It's just too overwhelming.

And with both my fingers chopped of, can I still muster the courage to escape?

Better still, after escaping, do I have the courage, enough to risk everything to go back to that dreadful place and save another victim screaming in pain.

If you ask me, all my heart tells me is just to get out of the place and get re-inforcement to stop that place from operating. But the "hero" in the movie really makes me wonder....

Will I turn back and risk never to return to the escape road of freedom just for the sake of saving another live? The act itself is greatness and I honor every bit of it.

Extreme display of courage there. A matyr in the making.

Perhaps there was a warning about what sin leads you to... a torture shack in Eastern Europe. Pretty good movie, but a bit disturbing for me. Then again, I don't watch sadistic often.

Never Trust Strangers when you go to a foreign county. Do not look for sex and drugs from strangers it can lead to your death. With money you can buy anything you want. Even other people's pain and death. A small sin can lead up to a bigger sin.
