We humans are created in the image of God -- that is, as if we were "godlings". We experience this fact most in recognising our free will, which is indefinably beyond ordinary cognition as we see in the higher animals.
It is perfectly natural that we in various ways "want to be a god", even if it is not conscious. Also, clouding the matter is the fact that our actions are manifest through our physical senses rather than anything spiritual or divine.
The important thing to realise though is that we are disenfranchised "gods".. in short, we blew it! Our only opportunity is to be redeemed by the God Who created us, who has enabled us through his son Jesus Christ to become adopted members of his family -- enabling us to call him Father in the most personal way possible.

I would never think of being a god, as that job comes with many responsibilities. i believe that as a human you should just be that a human, or at least the best that you can be!

Good question though!

Not as I am now. I have a long way to go before I can inherit all that God has.

"And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. "

Oh yeah. Oh hell yeah! I wouldst smite the wicked and bring about unfathomable suffering to anyone who believed in asceticism. Atheists would be my chosen people. When people die I wouldst say unto them, "Heaven is only for those who are smart enough to not believe in it."
