could be a problem with circulation (which could have many causes) as well as something to do with the nerves themselves...my suggestion would be to see another doc - possibly even an neurologist..it's obviously something that effects your husband every day, so find a doc who will help you to find out the cause and the best course of treatment.

Are they asleep with a tingly feeling, or asleep in that he can't conciously make them move? The former, if not due to compressing nerves from the way he sleeps, sounds like some kind of electrolyte (salt) imbalance. Does he have diabetes or kidney problems? On the other hand if it is an inability to conciously move his muscles it sounds like some type of conduction defect or sleep paralysis. If you don't feel like your doctor is addressing your concerns, you may want to ask for a referral to a neurologist.

Yes. Get a second opinion! or 3rd etc. Could be a bad pillow or the way he sleeps simply but it's wise to check with a neurologist or chiropractor. Good Luck.

Weakness may be subjective (the person feels weak, but has no measurable loss of strength) or objective (measurable loss of strength as noted in a physical exam). Weakness may be generalized (total body weakness) or localized to a specific area, side of the body, limb, or muscle.
A subjective feeling of weakness may be associated with infectious diseases such as infectious mononucleosis and influenza.

Doesnt sound right, it is not normal.
Find another doctor, keep going to different doctor until you find one that is conerned enough to help you.
Not all doctors are created equal.
Dont put it off, it sound as if his heart is not pumping enough blood out to the arms and legs, but i am not sure.

It could be poor circulation...Nerve damage or any number of things...If you are not satisfied with your doctor find another one. A second opinion is important when it comes to your health..Doctors are not gods..They do not have all the answers. I would find another doctor asap..Good luck..
