I think Americans have so many stereotypes simply because we have so many different people from different backgrounds. Insults that started out as true insults are now mellowed mostly into stinging little jokes - but they continue to pass from one generation to the next.

Only the ignorant believe the stereotypes. The ignorant and the young. For me, I can laugh and still be friends with anyone because I base people off of they themselves - not an idea put forth out of lack of education.

I'm an American who's married to a Canadian and living in Canada --- most of the people I have met are nice here not as friendly as my Southern neighbors--- they (Canadians)stay in there homes a lot more--- I lived on the Sunshine Coast and I'm not use to that ----

Sick of the government- try waiting 6 months for a much needed surgery like you will in the socialized medicine state of Canada

im from minnesota
and i kinda like canada
they get a bad stereo type in movies (eg "eh" after every sentence)
but so do minnesotans... ever seen fargo??? totalllly not like that!! haha
i think every where gets a stereotype from the media
cant really help it
but canada seems like a nice enough country to me!!

thats eskimos and they are partly in canada and partly in alaska but really few of them live like that anymore. we like to tease you about hocky and lumberjacks but we dont really think you are any different from us. canada is a beautiful place.
