Americans have got lazy and china and india are soon to become super powers, why are americans training their citizens just so they can return to their country and try to over throw america? Please this is not a rascist question. I am only concerned with the future of america, everyone wants to be america but everyone also wants to destroy america. Isn't this ironic that they want their country to be a super power just so they can do away with the super power that taught them? Just some input.

Because there is money in it for the big corporations. There is not enough incentive for these companies to invest in America when it is cheaper to invest overseas. Buy American made whenever possible and don't shop at Wal-Mart.

With all the Free Trade Agreements that have been signed our jobs are going overseas fast. But outsourcing is good according the the Bush Administration. Remember in the '92 Presidential debates when Ross Perot said if NAFTA and GATT were signed you'd hear a giant sucking sound as jobs went to Mexico. Well he was right. And now the jobs are getting sucked to China and India. We need to walk away from all the Free Trade Agreements and go back to tariffs. And Bush has proved you can walk away from treaties. Tariffs worked for 200 years and it built a solid middle class in this country. The jobs that are being created in this country now are service jobs, not manufacturing. And 150,000 new jobs have to be created a month just to keep up with population growth.
Thomas Jefferson thought college education shouldbe free to all citizens. He created the University of Virginia and on his tombstone he all hewanted on it was that. Reagan closed down the last free collage in California when he was governor. It would be a long road to get things changed but it could be done.
Thanks for giving me a chance to rant!

Yes it is ironic and I agree with you....But you cant stop people from coming here and getting an American education or working here for some American corporation....I know your not racist, how would you implement such a plan? The only thing to do is bring awareness to the issue. You might be seen as an isolationist or nationalist. It seems more and more we are becoming a global economy, we are dependent on each other to some point. I am not sure any single group or nation can stop this reality. But I agree with you to a point.

Have you ever seen the videos of African lions chasing a wilder beast herd? As soon as one poor animal is down the rest go about grazing.Americans think they can profit from cheap overseas labor ,and they can for a short while. Lately engineers, and other professionals have been losing their jobs to overseas firms that pay their engineers 1/5 the salary. Eventually this "profit" will evaporate. In the meantime you will hear the cheerleaders for international corporations rationalize selling this country down the river for a buck. Propaganda truly does work !

It makes sense to employ people in countries where the cost of living is tiny compared to the U.S.

If your business can find someone in India who can do the job you need done for $3/day, that makes good economic sense

It also helps the people of India and allows them a chance at the american dream

It also makes products cheaper in the U.S. so everybody wins, or at least, everybody is free to win.

My favorite saying in Spanish, "Si buscas, encuentras", If you search, you will find." In United States there is countless amount of people who thrive to succeed. In my university students study hours after hours in the library to acheive that A. Many scientists are coming up with new technology to improve our life such as the study of vaccine for cancer in Emory University. I admit, there are countless lazy people in America, but lazy people are not exlcusive to America.

Because we have a moronic political party that keeps raising taxes every change they get. Businesses go overseas for the lower taxes, or buy goods from international companies that aren't bound by our minimum wage. Why? Investors demand a good return on investment (ROI).

If America were apt for it, it would grant free college education for all citizens who were willing and able to partake in a higher education. As for foreigners from countries who threaten our superpower status... no dice.
