Why India has no place in G8?

Countries that come under G8 copoperation Council:
US, UK, Russia, Italy, Japan, Germany, Canada & France.

I presume that this Council is existing since 1985 at that time it was called as G7 and I think adding Japan it became G8.

Membership was allotted to those countires based on a survey for a number of points with reference to Industrial, political, cultural and Financial stability.

Possibly I feel that India cannot fulfil all the rquirements eventhough it is one of the Industrial & Agricultural strongholds in the world economy. Rest, apple polishing and consent to act as the wish of the super powers in a perquisite.
