Well, I've never met a tough guy who has worried so much over his appearance. Also, most tough guys know that it is improper grammar to say "more tougher".

You're talking about wearing a costume to look tougher; it won't work. You need to have self-confidence and belief in yourself in order to appear tough. Sure, you can dress "cool" and get a few tatties, but if you are still a softie inside (which is not necessarily a bad thing) this image won't truly be yours.
I like medium long hair on a guy - my 43 year old husband wears it that way - and he is tough in appearance because he doesn't give a hoot what other people think of his hair, clothes, or him in general. He is confident enough to know that he is tough when it counts - like defending his family or even a stranger - without having to dress a certain way. Hope you are able to find your inner toughness!

A shaved head (like a ceasar or shorter) can be pretty intimidating. But not everyone can pull that off. As for appearance, it depends on what part of the country your at. Down in Texas jeans and a white tee is a thugged out look. I would suggest you check out some rappers and pick a style that suits you.

Lift weights. Heavy weights. You want to not only build up some bulk but to get seriously big, and what a bodybuilder would call "ripped", meaning some serious definition to the muscles, maybe even a big fugly vein or three popping out your limbs....
Seriously, getting muscle is one of the textbook definition ways of getting a tougher look. Just don't shave your body and get that fake-baked tan thing going like the bodybuilders do, because on that one they can be more prissy than your average "metrosexual" is.

Get a French Beard or always leave a light stubble on your face.
Then start working out to get a better physique and meaner looks.
Then stop wearing pink or any feminine colored apparel. Choose clothes that the action heroes may wear. Get a leather jacket and start wearing it regularly.
If you want to go to the more extreme actions, start sporting a mean tattoo.
A steel bracelet on your wrist and a heavy boots will add to the image.

Sweetie just be yourself. Who cares if you look one way or the other. If they can't except you for you then you don't need them in your life. Be you and dress how you like to dress. You individual style is what makes you special. Not trying to be like the tough guy next door or down the street.

why dont you try for clean, intelligent and employable, tough will just make you a target for gangs, you are an idiot, a few years ago a guy wouldnt wear a stocking cap in the dead of winter if his ears were freezing and now they wear them in vegas when its 120 degrees out, the so called style is sick and stupid, if you think baggy assed pants makes you look hot or tough,,,,,,,,, believe me us gals want to see what you got under there, we dont want to see your shorts as your pants fall down, i just laugh at the ones walking along the street holding them up, god if a gang member started chasing them they would fall in their pants and get killed, how friggin stupid do you guys have to be?

You look like a punk with a skull cap on, put a red nose on and you could be Bozo the clown.

Just the fact that you're so concerned over appearances means, undeniably, that you'll never be "tough" according to your ideal. Be who you are and live with it. Trying to be something you're not is obvious to all observers.
