Perhaps you don't get it. The Jews are our friends and allies.
We are not going to "take action against" them we are going to encourage them.

same reason he won't take action against the saudis. jews are so heavily invested into the american economy he fears the economic repercussions. it's probably a mostly unfounded fear but if you think about it jews pretty much own and run the banking/investement industry and hollywood. imagine if they all decided to take their money elsewhere. like i said an irrational fear but that is why america is so loyal to israel and the jews. it all has to do with money.
plus bush already sent the precedent of invading a country without provocation so why shouldn't israel do it?

The nation of Israel is a thorn in our side but we can't turn our backs to them. A large amount of money is generated by the American Jewish people daily through business, entertainment and mass media and other concerns. Government is controlled by money and...guess what?....the Jews of America control a big chunk of it....Take a look at the main anchor people for TV...how many are Jewish?...movie producers...Wall Street firms....even pharmaceuticals? So when the dollars wave, government jumps or at least does nothing to hamper them.

He's not frightened. Politically, he supports Israel. It's the same reason others support Lebanon. It's a political difference. The main reason he couldn't tell Israel to stop is because they're doing the same thing America did in Afganistan and Iraq. He's stuck in hippocrasy.
Oh, by the way, please don't stereotype agains the Jewish population. Not all Jewish people think Israel's doing a smart thing.

He's not, he have already ask them to stop bombing, they said they want the return of the solders and Hezbollah to stop bombing. Bush said OKAY. Now, when is Hezbollah going to stop bombing and release the solders?
