Stephen Hawking asked how the human race will survive. I ask why? What is the meaning of it all?

That's the key to it right there in the song...."Just remember when you're feeling very small and insecure,how amazingly unlikely is your birth?" Just by existing at all you have beaten the odds, and if your lucky enough to find any happiness in life then you may as well have won the lottery a thousand times over. Most of us never (or rarely) acknowledge how fortunate we are to have food in our bellies and a roof over our head, if you need a point to your existence to be happy, then you're just not doing it right.
