Given that you know exactly how far along you are I will assume that you've been seeing a doctor regulary. I have had friends that were the same way and they have had no problms and delivered a health baby. If you have any reservations as to your health and/or the health or your baby definitely go see your OB/GYN ASAP. The one concern is that 10lbs may seem low as the weight you gain not only comes from the babies weight but should also include the amniotic fluid, placenta, afterbirth etc. etc.. so in terms of that defintely double check that your baby's weight may not be a factor. Congradulations by the way and hope everything tuns out okay.

I only gained 15 and 17 pounds. Both were about 6 and a half pounds. I am a small person anyway. I eat lots and do not gain. Everytime I went to the doctor I would stop and get a sandwich and a milkshake so I would wiegh more. How sad is that? Lots of luck with the new baby!

I only gained 4 pounds through the duration of my pregnancy. For some reason, I was losing weight! My baby weighed exactly 7 pounds and she was completely healthy. Some pregnant woman tend to change their diets and that could have alot to do with you not gaining much weight. As long as your doctor doesn't seem concerned, I wouldn't be too worried about it. Good luck!

I would not be too concern because if it was a problem your Dr. would of bring it to your attention. My first pregnancy I gained 72 pounds and my baby only weight 6lbs 13ozs. Now I am 19 weeks and I only gained 6 pounds I think this going to be a bigger baby because I did not gain much. Be prepare I think your baby will weight more than 6lbs. life is just funny like that.

With my first son I had horrible morning sickness to the point that I needed IVs. I started at 110 went down to 98 and then back up to 118lbs when he was born at 36weeks. {It was crazy to say the least.} But he was 6lbs 14oz. My other son I went from 110 to 128 with no morning sickness at all. He was only 4lbs 4oz @ 34weeks. He spent his first 3 weeks in the nicu.. It all just depends on your baby & its measurements.. Your fundal height is also a way they can tell if you are growing in the right ways.

I gained 40lbs. Are you showing? Your doctor can guess the baby's weight by doing some measurements

With my first baby I weighed the EXACT same at conception and delivery and he was 7lbs 12.5oz.. with my next child I lost 10lbs from conception to Delivery she was 8lbs 12.5oz. With my third child I gained 6lbs over my conception weight she was 10lbs 12.5oz with my LAST BABY ( I SWEAR) I weighed 25 lbs LESS then when I got pregnant and he was 10lbs .5oz.. soooo EVERY BODY.. EVERY CHILD.. and EVERY PREGNANCY is different... if you are at all concerned talk to you doctor.. instincts are EVERYTHING!

I gained about 15 with my 3 pregnancies and they all had intrauterine growth retardation. Meaning they quit growing properly in utero. They weighed 4lbs4oz, 5lbs9oz, and 5lbs3oz. They all did well after birth. You should check with your ob/gyn.

i saw a little girl who was born to some one who was just like you the baby weighed 2 pounds and suffers from primordial dwarfism, she is now 3 and weighs less than ten pounds and has a tiny head, she cant talk but she seems to be happy enough but it costs her family a fortune to take care of her.
