Why would someone want to do meth? WHat does it do to a person, And why would they do it knowing the risks?

Because they want to loose hair, teeth, skin, family, friends, moral etc. etc.

Because you can buy or shoplift everything you need to make it at Wal Mart or Home Depot. It's cheap, and they say the high is rivaled only by heroin. I did pot and powder in college, along with drinking, but meth is on a whole other level. There is basically no turning back for meth addiction. The known recovery rate is less than 3%. Everybody thinks they can do it, enjoy the high, and get right back to life, just like drinking a beer or smoking a joint. Meth doesn't work that way. It is the meanest dope imaginable.

It's another thing that people get addicted to, and can't seem to shake. It's a very dangerous drug. Additionally, the toxic waste from manufacturing the substance is even worse! Some of the environmental effects haven't even been realized yet!

It usually starts out from another minor drug (like pot), and they try meth to get a bigger high. Then, there brain turns to mush, so they don't realize how messed up they really are, so they keep doing it.

I think some people are unhappy with there life and are willing to try ANYTHING to make themselves feel better. Or to enhance there sex life. Or maybe just plain boredom. Here's a great link all about meth. (with pictures)

i personally did it when i found my father after he had committed suicide. it brought immediate releaf of my emotional state at the time. it dezolves all fears, emotional upheaval, and depression. looking back, after 27 yrs. of shooting speed, i would have dealt with my feelings and cried. it took me 27 years to cry....so when i did i felt bettter and thru the love of my lord jesus christ and my husband who is aids positive, i learned of all that could have happened and what a blessing it is that i'm not sick as well. if anyone who reads this is thinking of trying meth i urge you to never ,ever do it. it will ruin your life and those who love you will suffer greatley. ----tamara

I asked a similar question. I didn't get a satisfying answer. Just looking at the physical effects alone are enough to make me NEVER want to be near it.
