here is my advice. When you are done with looking at everything, go to your history bar and delete everything, including all the porn you looked at. Then go to Tools, Internet Options, then settings. Then click on view files, and delete everything in there. Then click on Tools Again, Internet Options and click on delete files. After this, your dad won't be able to see all the porn you looked at. Hope this helps

if you have a different logon to the computer but your dad is the System Admin, then yes. He pretty much has the master key. The only way to prevent him from knowing is to clear all your history and any pertinent data- that is if you are really paranoid. The best solution is to talk to you dad and inform him that if he really respects you and you both have a mutual understanding, he will stay out of your business. If he cannot trust you and you cannot trust him, then he needs to understand that. Communicate with him. That what parents want.. They don't want to be kept completely in the dark to one day be surprised with something you shouldn't have kept from them.

He can see the sites you've visited, but not necessarily the questions you ask and answer. Of course, if he's a paranoid control freak he could install software on the computer that can log your password and keep track of everything you do. But most parents aren't that freaky. I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as you're not visiting blatant porn sites or anything. You could also try talking to him. Explain that you value your privacy and want him to respect that, and let him know you're mature enough not to do anything stupid or wrong.

That depends...are you cleaning out your history? Are you allowing the computer to remember your ID and passwords? Does he have any type of parental controls on, or internet security running? If he is the admin, then he can look in any of these directories or settings if you're not cleaning them up. If he has a parental control or internet security software(not ant-virus) running, then he can see them too.

THere are ways to prevent him from seeing it. If you're dad is dumb w/computers you might be in luck. Right click the Internet Icon and go to Properties. There you can delete your History and your Temporary Internet files. Delete everything.

I believe there are some websites that gives free software for you to download to delete index.dat file.. this is the file that is VERY hard to delete without a software or knowledge of computer.. Your dad can easily access your ALL activities by checking index.dat file.. there are plany of programs for that .. (I saw one coding written on VB.net on how to check the computer history .. including from the day it was first started.. I forgot the website's link.. it was a computer / tech / security forum)... search cnet.com's forum for internet privacy (saw some software links there) or pcworld.com ..

Certainly u need ur privacy. He can see what u search in google, but he cannot see what you do in a particular website, unless u save it in ur pc or if it is in ur temporary internet folders.

I sudggest one thing, before u shut down clear ur history, nobody can find what u did.
