Yes and yes. I am a social person. And being a social person helps you to be successful. Nobody likes a person who cannot communicate and has no social skills. I have met my share of people who make me wonder what the heck happened to them that they can't carry on a conversation or be personable in any way. Socially inept is different than being shy. Shy people would like to be more extroverted usually, but feel insecure with others. I think people need to get self-confident and then it is easier to socialize.

I am autistic, if social ability is necessary I am in a lot of trouble. I am not social at all. Some people believe Einstien was autistic, and he did ok. I am not about to put out any scientific theories or anything, but I do live a fulfilled life.
