Why cant a 14 year old date an 18 year old boy?
Is it really all that neccesary for someone else to step in and try to change their mind.
Obviously if they're in love they can wait until the 14 year old turns 18 , but if they are mature and in love does the age matter?
I think it's only sick to a certain point
(like a 14 year old with a a 24 year old)
:p
Am I wrong?

Of course you are wrong. The age matters because the 18 year old obviously can't get along with women nearer to his age because he is somehow flawed, and probably has control issues. Plus, there is some attraction if violating societal norms, and possibly laws.

I suspect one flaw is that of immaturity. Did you notice in your question you said "an 18 year old boy" and not an 18 year old man?

Of course 14 year old girls are easily impressed with the attentions of an 18 year old boy. They lack the maturity to make rational decisions. Wait, or better yet, date women your own age to understand yourself better, and what women your age want. The fourteen year old girls ideas will change as she matures.

Even though a 14 year old may be mature for her age it still is quite a difference compared to an 18 year old. There are so many thing that happen in those years. I believe the mind develops the most in the teen year therefore an 18 year old mind is alot different than a 14 year old mind......no question about it. I would suggest that the 14 year old slow it down and date boys her age and maybe a year or two older but even that is pushing it.

The answer is federal/state/local age of consent laws.

Currently the nation with the lowest age of consent (Zimbabwe at 14) also has an HIV rate of over 20%, and is estimated to have over 100 inappropriate actions taken against minors a week. (With a population estimated at around 11 million, this is quite a severe problem, and to the attacked, it is sometimes a death sentence.) Long story short, the laws are there to protect the innocents of the world.

the rules are to protect someone not harm that is why they have rules with ages you may feel a certain age but do you want all that resonabliity at 14 when you can wait til 18 there is no magic age when you knowe you are mature enough this is just to protect an underage peron

A 14 year old is not mature and can easily be taken advantage of by an older person. The laws are in place for protection of the younger, more easily influenced and impressionable individual.

Hunnie.. Dont ever think you are wrong!!.. When i was 15 i dated a 32 year old. I'm 16 now and dating an 18 year old. I am just attracted to older men as you are. It is okay to stick with him and dont ever think its "dirty".. Just one pointer u always have to remember.. Be VERY careful with cops and stuff because it IS illegal and if you two are having sex and someone suspects it and calls the cops.. NEVER admit to havin gsex with him no matter what they say because u can get the one u love into lots of trouble. if you love him then stay with him. .. Word to Ya Sista!!

xoxo.. Nikki

Yes, it matters.... age is NOT just a number and a lot of changes happen between 14 to 18.

14 years old? If I was the Mother I would only let them get together under parental supervision. She is a child, and has no perspective of what 18 year old boys are capeble of minipulating the mind of a child.

there's only so much maturity a 14 year old will have, and more than likely, any 18 year old will top that. girl, an 18 year old boy will have you seeing sideways. leave it alone.

i guess its because whether or not you deny it, a 14 yr old thinks very differently from an 18 yr old, and both want and need different things out of a relationship..and im not just talking about sex although thats a major part. Youre in 2 different stages..
