What if you were born in the month of the moon (cancer), but in the year of the Dragon. These are opposites signs...what would that mean, and what should I expect?

"Year of the Dragon" is Chinese astrology, and it should be pretty much the same as your Sun sign horoscope, not opposite. Who told you they were opposite?

Actually, if you were born in the year of the Dragon, it would over rule the month, 11 months of the year. During that time The Dragon would dominate. This is for the rest of this life. Cancer would be most dominant only during it's moon time. This could be why standard astrological signs don't always fit.
When water and fire mix properly steam results. So prior to the moon and post time there should be some very "steamy" moments. Exceptional in fact.
Water is emotional, fire volatile, but also active. Your Tarot card would be the chariot. Look it up, you'll get the point the second you see the image. It's about control and balance.
